Description from the seller

Bronze bust of Apollo dating from the last century.

Apollo (in ancient Greek: Ἀπόλλων, Apóllōn; in Latin: Apollo) is a deity of the Greek and Roman religion.

God of the Sun (who draws his chariot), of all arts, of music, prophecy, poetry, medical arts (the god of medicine is indeed his son Asclepius), of plagues, and of science that illuminates the intellect.

It is a bronze statue produced using the lost wax technique. It was created from a mold of the original made at the beginning of the twentieth century by a historic foundry in Naples, the Chiurazzi foundry. This foundry produced, in addition to large-scale monuments, reproductions of statues from major museums, and supplied the souvenir market for travelers of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, the travelers of the Grand Tour.
