Davide Marescotti - illustrazione originale, acrilico, cm 100 x 70

Nato ad ottobre del 1979, seguendo la sua passione per il fumetto, dopo e durante gli anni di liceo artistico frequenta diversi corsi e scuole di fumetto (Coloriamo, Humpty Dumpty, Scuola Chiavarese del Fumetto) entrerà poi a bottega dal disegnatore Bonelli Giovanni Talami.
Negli anni collabora e lavora come illustratore per diverse Case Editrici italiane, tra cui: 
Edicolors (per cui realizza la copertina e le illustrazioni interne per“il Sogno di Naarom” diventando copertinista di testata per la Collana “Mondi Segreti” ed illustrando anche all’interno i volumi “Acqua” ed “Aria” ed“Alice nel paese delle meraviglie”,oltre ad alcuni opuscoli didattici);
WildBoar (con illustrazioni per “Il Bestiario di Eymerich”, ”Alice in Steamland” e la copertina di “iGiochi di Cthulhu”);
Dreamlord Press (illustrando in toto l’edizione italiana, e tedesca del “FATE – Sistema Base” e “FATE - Strumenti del Sistema”);
Raven Distribution (con la copertina di “Casi irrisolti -Conti in Sospeso e Blackwater Creek”, illustrazioni interne su “Il Gran Grimorio dei Miti di Cthulhu”, “Pulp Cthulhu”, “Orrore sull’Orient Express” e per il “Six Bullets System -Spaghetti western” di cui realizza anche lo schermo, Illustra anche la tredicesima uscita del libro Game di “Lupo Solitario - I Signori della Pestilenza di Ruel” ed i Loghi di copertina ed interni per l’edizione italiana dei Giochi di ruolo della Onyx Path tra cui “Wraith - Presente: l’oblio”, “Changerling: il Sogno” e “La Mano Nera - una guida alla tal'mahe'ra”).
Barn Owl (con illustrazioni interne per “Six Bullets System Framework” e “Storie della Frontiera”).
Oltre ad essere apparso con una illustrazione sul “IV Reich” di “Sine Requie” della Serpentarium ed avere diverse collaborazioni con editori tedeschi e inglesi e statunitensi, realizzando per questi copertine ed illustrazioni interne per Romanzi e Manuali di Giochi di Ruolo.
Ha realizzato la locandina per il film The Mythos Murders dell’americana F.M. Sawyer Productions
Realizza anche alcune animazioni per l’avventura grafica “Dylan Dog Horror Luna Park” (distribuito dalla Rizzoli) ed effettua altri lavori in ambito artistico arricchendo la sua esperienza con diversi stili e soggetti (immagini per tatuaggi, ritratti, murales, trompe d’oeil, sceneggiature per cortometraggi, copertine per band musicali, etc…).
Ha anche insegnato in alcuni corsi di fumetto in scuole pubbliche e strutture municipali. Attualmente, illustrazioni a parte, supervisiona in veste di Editor Grafico la serie a fumetti “The Darkwinged”.
 Attualmente è insegnante presso la Nuova Scuola Chiavarese del Fumetto nei corsi di Disegno, Corso di Fumetto Professionale e Master

Questa è una delle illustrazioni originali realizzate nel novembre 2024 all’interno dell' Area Performance del festival internazionale Lucca Comics & Games.
