Description from the seller

GENERAL

The Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 is considered by many enthusiasts to be the definitive iteration of the classic 911 with G-body styling, built between 1984 and 1989. This model is famous for introducing the 3,164 cc engine, which offered exceptional mechanical reliability and a performance that easily exceeded 230 km/h. This particular unit has enviable provenance, having had only two owners since its original debut in Germany. Much of its life was spent in the Canary Islands, Spain, a setting that has favored its preservation. Although the mileage cannot be officially certified, ITV records show barely 32,000 km, a figure that is very consistent with the extraordinary preservation state of the vehicle.

BODYWORK AND PAINT

The bodywork is in a magnificent condition, displaying a deep shine that enhances the iconic silhouette of the nine-eleven. According to our technical analyses, the car was repainted at least a decade ago, and although it shows the natural wear of time, this translates into defects that are practically imperceptible in the photographs. Exterior preservation is outstanding, as it hardly has scratches or signs of use, which demonstrates the meticulous care it has received from its previous owners. The undercarriage, as seen in the photo reportage, is very sound and shows no signs of deep rust in any section.

MECHANICS

mechanically, this 3.2 is in full form and ready to be enjoyed on long-distance trips or weekend plans. The engine starts with total immediacy, both cold and hot, maintaining that characteristic metallic sound of air-cooled boxer engines. Recently, the seals have been replaced to address slight seepage typical of age, so the block is currently dry and oil-loss free. The gearbox complements the package perfectly, offering the precision that made this model a benchmark in 80s sports cars.

INTERIOR

The interior breathes an atmosphere of authenticity, preserving the logical patina of a car that has been used with extreme care. While the rear seats have been reupholstered to restore their splendor, the front seats retain almost all of their originality; only the high-wear zones from entering and exiting the cabin have been restored to ensure an impeccable appearance. The remainder of the trim and the control elements remain original, offering that analog, robust feel greatly appreciated by the marque’s collectors.

DOCUMENTATION

The vehicle comes with all its paperwork in order and the technical inspection history that confirms the trend of its low mileage in recent years. It is delivered with the reassurance of having been recently serviced to correct any small mechanical detail, ensuring that the new owner receives a unit that is in working order and mechanically transparent.

PICK-UP

The Porsche is located in Madrid, Spain, where the buyer will need to collect it. After the lot is awarded, we offer a courtesy grace period of ten days of free storage at our facilities to coordinate transport or collection of the unit with complete convenience.

OTHER INFORMATION

This is an excellent opportunity to acquire one of Porsche’s most balanced models. The Carrera 3.2 is not only an investment piece with rising value, but it is also famous for being the last 911 before the arrival of power steering and complex electronic systems, offering the purest and most connected driving experience possible. Its history of few owners and its stay in the benign climate of the Canary Islands make it an exceptional survivor within its species.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
