Abraham van Strij was een schilder afkomstig uit Dordrecht. Het schildersvak leerde hij van zijn vader Leendert van Strij (1728-1798). Van Strij studeerde aan de academie in Antwerpen. In 1774 richtte hij samen met andere kunstenaars het Teekengenootschap Pictura op in Dordrecht. Van Strij is vooral bekend om zijn prachtige genre- en interieurvoorstellingen.

Dit olieverf op doek van Abraham van Strij is rechtsonder gesigneerd.

Afmetingen zonder lijst: 67 x 54 cm

Het werk is bij ons in de galerie te bezichtigen. Verder beschikt Art Dumay over een lijstenmakerij (dit jaar hun 85 jarige jubileum) en een restauratieatelier. Dus mocht u hiervan gebruik willen maken dan horen wij het uiteraard graag.
