Andy Warhol Photographs" is a collection of photographs by Andy Warhol, one of the most important American artists of the 20th century. The camera was an indispensable creative source for Warhol, the standard-bearer of Pop Art. He always carried a camera with him as a sketchbook, diary, and a means of communicating with people, and he left behind numerous photographic works, including Polaroids. This book is a collection of catalog works published during an exhibition at the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art in 1988. It contains the same contents as the exhibition held the previous year at the Robert Miller Gallery in New York, and includes works called “stitched photos,” in which prints from the same negative are stitched together using a sewing machine. The photographs themselves are simply clever, and Warhol's sense of style is evident in the motifs, composition, and other details. Softcover. English and Japanese.
