This striking and atmospheric vintage silver gelatin print, Nude in Bath, London ‘80s, comes directly from the private archive of acclaimed British photographer Michael Joseph, renowned for his iconic 'Beggars Banquet' photo-shoot of the Rolling Stones in summer 1968. 

Unlike the widely circulated Nivea poster campaigns, which featured fresh-faced models basking in natural light with hints of blue and white—a palette inspired by the brand’s legendary tin—this piece offers a rare, more intimate view into Joseph’s personal practice.

Captured in London in 1987, this one-off print reveals a quiet moment of feminine solitude, lit with ethereal softness and printed in deep, cool tones. It carries that signature Michael Joseph depth: an interplay of shadow, sensuality, and stillness. The sitter's identity, deliberately obscured, evokes the universal rather than the individual—mirroring the anonymous beauty of his better-known commercial work.

This artwork is signed and inscribed by the artist beneath the image: “Nude in Bath / London ‘80s / Michael Joseph”. Framed in a beautifully distressed wood frame with silver-toned mount board, the piece feels both earthy and elegant, a perfect echo of the subject's natural grace.
