Bukhara-Teppich aus Pakistan

Der Bukhara-Teppich ist einer der bekanntesten und beliebtesten Orientteppiche. Obwohl sein Ursprung in der zentralasiatischen Stadt Buchara (heute Usbekistan) liegt, werden viele dieser Teppiche heute in Pakistan gefertigt – insbesondere in den Regionen Lahore und Karachi. Die pakistanischen Bukhara-Teppiche sind für ihre hohe Qualität, feine Knüpfung und ihr glänzendes Wollmaterial bekannt.

Typisch für Bukhara-Teppiche ist das sogenannte "Göl"-Muster – ein sich wiederholendes, oktagonales oder rautenförmiges Motiv, das regelmäßig über das gesamte Feld verteilt ist. Die Farben reichen meist von tiefem Rot über Weinrot bis zu warmem Beige oder Creme, kombiniert mit Schwarz, Dunkelblau oder Elfenbein.

Pakistani Bukhara-Teppiche werden in der Regel mit einer Mischung aus Schurwolle und Baumwolle geknüpft, wobei die Wolle für den Flor und die Baumwolle für die Kette und den Schuss verwendet wird. Dies verleiht dem Teppich Festigkeit und Langlebigkeit, während der Glanz der Wolle für ein edles Erscheinungsbild sorgt.

Aufgrund ihrer harmonischen Muster und warmen Farbtöne passen Bukhara-Teppiche gut in klassische wie auch moderne Wohnräume. Sie sind sowohl ein Stück traditioneller Handwerkskunst als auch ein Ausdruck zeitloser Eleganz.
