The maker; André Aucoc, (16-3-1856 to 28-02-1911) The jewelry house of the Aucoc family was one of the leading jewelers in Europe at that time. Famous names such as René Lalique learned the craft of enameling at Aucoc's jewelry house. Located at Place Vendome number 6 in Paris (not coincidentally the contemporary address of Tiffany & Co, one of the world's leading jewelry houses). Those who read the history of A.Aucoc take a journey through time past many prominent (noble) families from all the countries of Europe. This history is included in a bound document. The Mirror; The mirror is made of silvered bronze. The typical organic asymmetrical shapes, are a model for this period. Usually mirrors and other luxury utensils were commissioned. This one is made of heavy silvered bronze, wooden back and adjustable base. The mirror glass is faceted. The mirror is in good condition, traces of use in accordance with its age, see the photos and detail photos Height 66 cm., width 44 cm., weight over 6 kilos On the back the mirror is signed, A. Aucoc, 6 Rue de la Paix The mirror has long been family owned and was made in the period 1890-1900.

The back of the frame misses 3 screws.
