The Sony TA-FA5ES is one of the most celebrated integrated amplifiers in Sony’s legendary ES (Elevated Standard) series — a no-compromise piece of engineering built during the golden age of Japanese hi-fi. The TA-FA5ES delivers 2 x 100W into 8 ohms (and more into lower impedances), with a dual-mono layout for true channel separation and improved stereo imaging. The heart of this amplifier is a massive toroidal transformer, custom capacitors, and a fully discrete signal path from input to output — free of integrated circuits in the audio path.

In excellent cosmetic condition for its age. The top panel shows only faint signs of wear, and the front aluminum fascia is clean and well-preserved. The volume knob operates smoothly and all buttons respond properly. Any visible imperfections are documented in the photos.
