La forma e la decorazione a taglio diamantato e lati piatti del vaso, si ispirano alle vasche del parco di Versailles. L'espressione di uno stile puramente francese

Il vaso di Versailles è venuto al mondo nel 1921.

Fu così chiamato per commemorare il trattato che pose fine alle ostilità nella prima guerra mondiale, ma anche, e soprattutto, come riferimento all'epoca, dia alle arti e alla gloria del Re Sole. Nel 1950 ruppe con i codici estetici tradizionali
