For sale: a track bike from the late 1970s – Gitane Piste (fixed gear). Original paint with the initials of the first owner (MT). The bike is in perfect technical condition, freshly serviced. Ridden only occasionally, and only in good weather.

List of parts:

Frame: 1970s Gitane Piste / Track, Vitus 999 steel, serial number B000783, horizontal dropouts. Due to the visible initials, it's possible (though less likely) that this is a Gitane Service des Courses model – custom-made bikes for racing teams or individual riders at the time.

Fork: Original, Vitus 999 steel

Paint: Original, with hand-painted “MT” initials

Headset: Campagnolo Nuovo Record

Stem: Cinelli 1R

Handlebars: 3ttt Competizione + new Selle San Marco Presa Corsa bar tape

Saddle: Selle San Marco Laser

Seatpost: Gipiemme

Crankset: Nervar 165 mm track crank + original chainring (50t x 16t gear ratio) + 1/8" chain

Bottom Bracket: BSA threaded, square taper

Hubs: Spidel Professionel 36H (two different spoke lacing patterns)
