An exceptionally preserved example of a 19th century brass microscope, crafted by the renowned Austrian maker C. Reichert during the early years of his workshop in Vienna. This instrument bears the distinctive engraving:

“C. Reichert VIII. Bennogasse 26 Wien”

marking it as a product of Reichert’s original factory location in the Josefstadt district (VIII.) before the company relocated in the 1890s — a highly desirable collector’s piece for connoisseurs of historic scientific instruments.

Features:
	•	Fine lacquered brass construction

	•	Original hardwood carrying case with brass fittings, working lock, and original key
	•	Period-correct optical fittings and mechanical components

Provenance:
Acquired from a private antique dealer in Graz, Austria. This instrument has remained in remarkable, authentic condition and retains its original presentation set.

Condition:
Excellent antique condition. Minor wear consistent with age. The brass retains its rich historical patina, mechanical parts move smoothly, and the case is intact with functioning lock and key.
