Display cabinet - Mahogany, Oak

Elegant display cabinet in Louis XV style, around 1750. Beautiful honey-coloured mahogany. Artfully carved stitching in the hood and the foot rail. The base cabinet is double-curved and the drawers have typical rococo fittings. (asymmetrical) The inside of the drawers is made of fine quarter-sawn oak. The back is also made of thin quarter-sawn panels. The lock is original, a suitable key is missing, I have added an old key as a trigger. It fits in the lock. Underneath two beautifully carved claw feet that grip a ball. Transportation: In the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, France and Spain, we transport the furniture in packing blankets and store it indoors. The rest land on a wooden pallet in sturdy cardboard and splash-proof foil and delivered to the front door. We charge a higher rate for islands, delivery is to the door, please help because the driver is alone, the driver is not allowed inside or up the stairs. The carrier will contact you to deliver. He has your telephone number and email address. >>> These transports usually do not have a track and trace system. I am entering an empty code for Catawiki's computer system. You cannot track the transport. Take photos of the packaging upon receipt to rule out damage during transport. Usually it is not possible to ship within three days, you can ignore Catawiki's reminders. It is usually between three and seven days in transit. You approve and sign for good reception with the driver. You must report any damage immediately in this form. This is necessary for insurance. Damage that occurs afterwards is your own responsibility. An 'empty' form means good reception. The carrier will call you to make an appointment for delivery. You are free to arrange the transport yourself, please indicate this when paying to Catawiki.
