Exemplaire relié du tirage courant de la première édition du Clio d'Anatole France illustré de compositions en couleur de Mucha. Bien que la date de cette première édition soit de 1900, on notera que l'ex-dono manuscrit figurant au somme de la page de titre - et signé de Charles Lynch - date de 1899 à Paris. Il s'agit donc d'un des tous premiers exemplaires sorti de presse.

Les cinq texte mystiques d'Anatole France, dont un sur Napoléon, sont illustrés de 7 hors-texte et 5 bandeau en couleur signés de Mucha. Le relieur n'a pas gardé la couverture illustrée.

Reliure bradel demi-toile bleue, dos lisse avec pièce de titre.

Bon état général, la reliure est un peu frottée avec de petites pertes à la pièce de titre, les autres défauts sont mineurs, grands marges.
