Dit prachtige beeldje in bisque porselein van Jozef met Kind is met zijn veelkleurige beschildering en rijkelijke decoratie met goud een ware lust voor het oog.

Jozef draagt Jezus liefdevol op zijn arm, wat de innige band tussen vader en kind benadrukt. Opvallend is de aanwezigheid van de rijksappel, die in de hand van Jezus rust, wat een krachtig religieus symbool is dat verwijst naar de heerschappij en macht van Christus over de schepping. Het beeld symboliseert Jezus als de Koning der Koningen, terwijl Jozef als zijn aardse vader de verantwoordelijkheid draagt voor het beschermen en begeleiden van de Messias.

De lelie staat voor zuiverheid en heiligheid en benadrukt de bijzondere uitverkiezing van Jozef door God om de aardse vader van Jezus te zijn.
