Huwelijkscontracten op hout.

In de Anti-Atlas regio in Marokko werden deze houten Arabische huwelijkscontracten gebruikt door de Amazigh (Berber) stammen. Omdat er geen papier voorhanden was, werden deze documenten op hout genoteerd en door de autoriteiten gelegaliseerd met een stempel waarop in rode inkt 'Control des actes' stond. 

De teksten zijn geschreven in het Arabisch (soms de namen van dorpen in het Berbers) met inkt gemaakt van uitgekookt geitenhaar (smeg). 

Ter plaatse gekocht tijdens een reis naar Marokko. Deze antieke houten manuscripten zijn in redelijke staat.
