Vintage beeld van de Heilige moeder Maria met het kindje Jezus in Torhouts / Vlaams aardewerk door Alfons Noseda. Het beeld is in terre cuite en geglazuurd in bruin met hints van geel, groen en rood. Alfons Noseda (Kortrijk, 1885 – 1945) studeerde aan de Academie van Kortrijk. Hij ging vervolgens aan de slag bij het pottenbakkersbedrijf van Pieter Laigneil (1870–1950), een bedrijf dat aan de basis lag van de bloei van het Torhoutse aardewerk. In 1908 werkte hij in opdracht van de familie Caesens. Noseda leerde het vak onder leiding van Van Acke, die leraar was aan de Academie van Kortrijk. Hij stond in voor de ontwerpen en voor het boetseerwerk. In 1914 richtte Noseda zijn eigen bedrijf op, dat vooral tussen de wereldoorlogen bloeide.
