Twee erg leuke, functionele en decoratieve rattan (eventueel rotan) krukken. Het betreffen twee krukken met een ronde zitting. het ene krukje heeft 4 poten en het andere drie. de krukken zijn elk in een andere stijl gevlochten. De bijzonderheden:

Het 4-potig krukje is 47cm hoog en de zitting heeft een diameter van 34cm. Het gewicht is 1,8kg. Het frame is gemaakt van gebogen ratan en rotan en de zitting is gevlochten met pitriet.

Het driepotig krukje is 42cm hoog en de zitting heeft een diameter van 29cm. Het gewicht is 1,2kg. Ook het frame van deze kruk is gemaakt van gebogen rattan en rotan, en de zitting is gevlochten met een rattan webbing.

Beide krukken zijn dus gemaakt van rattan, ingevlochten met pitriet en rattan-strips. Rattan en rotan lijken heel erg veel op elkaar. Ze komen allebei van de rotan palm. Rotan wordt van hoger in de palm geoogst, terwijl rattan lager bij de grond groeit. beide materialen worden gebruikt in meubels. Rattan is iets flexibeler dan rotan en zal daarom vaker gebruikt worden bij vlecht- en buig-werk. Waarschijnlijk is in deze twee meubelstukken zowel rattan als rotan gebruikt.
Het vlechtwerk van de vierpotige kruk is gemaakt met pitriet. Ook pietriet is afkomstig van de rotan palm. Hierbij wordt de kern van de rotanstengels versneden in verschillende diktes. Dit heet pitriet. Als pitriet wordt doordrenkt met water, is het heel flexibel en kan er heel fijn mee worden gevlochten.
Dit materiaal wordt weleens verward met bamboe. Dit is zeker geen bamboe. Bamboe is een heel sterk soort gras, waar ook meubels van worden gemaakt. Bamboe is echter hol, in tegenstelling tot rattan en rotan, dat massief is.

De twee meubels dateren waarschijnlijk van de jaren '70 of '80. Ze zien er nog geweldig uit. Er zijn slechts logische gebruikssporen zichtbaar, en beide zijn nog 100% stabiel. 
Het zijn comfortabele meubels.
Beide meubels kunnen uiteraard als kruk worden gebruikt, maar ze zijn ook in te zetten als piëdestal of bijzettafel (zie foto's).

Het voetenbankje / tafeltje en de kruk worden zorgvuldig ingepakt en verzekerd verzonden.
