This is the 1968 edition of “Photography of the World,” a collection of works published by Heibonsha in the 1959s and 1960s. The appeal of this book is that you can enjoy the same year's masterpieces by photographers from Japan and abroad, printed in photogravure. Highlights of this year's issue include “Starving India” by Ryoji Akiyama and “China's Cultural Revolution” by Masayuki Aramaki from the special feature “Young Eyes” at the beginning of the book, and “The Swiss Governor” by Henri Cartier-Bresson from the special feature "The Vision of an Artist. Other works by Japanese photographers Ihei Kimura, Eikoh Hosoe, Kazutaka Narahara, Akira Sato, Fuminari Kuwabara, Yoshikazu Minami, Kenji Kanesaka, and Takeyuki Suzuki are included, as well as numerous works by foreign photographers such as Günter Krauss, René Burri, and Ed van der Elsken.
