Red edges. Missing at the headbands and with a glued label on the spine. Scuffs and scattered epidermises as visible in the photos. Illustrated with a engraved frontispiece.
Detailed biography of Henri de La Tour d’Auvergne, vicomte de Turenne (1611-1675), one of the greatest military strategists of the 17th century. The work traces his campaigns under Louis XIII and Louis XIV, his victories against the Spaniards, his actions during the Fronde, and his tactical innovations.
