Wall mirrors! Alphonse Mucha.

These jewels are the "Times of the Day", created by Czech artist Alphonse Mucha in 1899. Elegant, attractive, and sensual ladies who allegorically represent each moment of the day. Signed. No reserve price!

Antique decorative wall mirrors "The Times of the Day". This is one of the most representative series of the Art Nouveau style.
In this lot we present: "Éveil du Matin, Rêverie du Soir and Repos de la Nuit". Three wall mirrors in very good condition, framed with their original frames.

It is important to note that this are original pieces from 1970's decade, when the Art Nouveau fashion revived in Europe. Not a reproduction! (see back side photographs).

Origin: France (lot acquired from a Montpellier private collection).
Mesures: 65 x 28 x 2.5 cm. each mirror.
Total weight: 7 kg. approx.
Mirrors in excellent condition. Frames with signs of use and aging. The items you will receive are the ones that has been photographed.

In this series, Mucha combined fresh yet delicate colours with exuberant floral motifs.
Each woman is set within natural surroundings which reflects her mood. The whole is then enclosed in an elaborate ornamental frame reminiscent of a Gothic window.
