Description from the seller
GENERAL
This unit represents one of the summits of British motorsport in the 1950s: the Austin-Healey 100M "Le Mans". This model is a high-performance variant born from the brand’s success in the mythical French endurance race, and it is distinguished by its pure sporting character and unmistakable aesthetics. The vehicle we are considering was originally debuted in the United States market, later imported to Spain seven years ago. It is an exceptionally rare example that retains its factory-original mechanical configuration. Given its authenticity and year of manufacture, this model is a highly sought-after piece that is fully eligible to participate in the world’s most prestigious historic events, including the legendary Mille Miglia (if your second nickname is Nuvolari, of course), where Austin-Healey 100s have traditionally been protagonists due to their agility and endurance.
BODYWORK AND PAINT
The aesthetics of this 100M are simply spectacular, featuring the iconic white-and-blue two-tone scheme that highlights Gerry Coker’s fluid lines. The bodywork bears the M-model-specific modifications, including the characteristic folding windscreen to reduce wind resistance and the wire-spoked wheels that complete its classic appearance. The car has undergone a very high-level restoration by specialized professionals, which today translates into a deep, intense shine. Defects are minimal and barely perceptible, maintaining an immaculate presence that reflects the obsessive care it has undergone.
MECHANICS
Under the hood lies the original heart of an "M,” a robust and powerful powerplant that runs in perfect condition. Mechanical management has been exemplary; although it belongs to a private collection where usage has been moderate, the vehicle has benefited from the constant maintenance of an internal mechanic dedicated exclusively to the collection. A complete service tune-up has recently been performed to ensure the engine and transmission respond with precision. The car is routinely kept running through short courtesy drives, guaranteeing that all fluids and mechanical components are in optimal operating condition for its new owner.
INTERIOR
The cabin is a time capsule that transports us to the golden era of roadsters. Equipped with the correct bucket seats for this version, the interior was restored with top-quality materials several years ago. Due to the extremely limited use since its completion, the upholstery, dashboard, and instruments are preserved virtually as new, maintaining that elegant racing atmosphere that defines the 100M. The undercarriage is in superb condition, free of rust and corrosion, aided by always having been kept in a garage in Madrid’s dry climate.
DOCUMENTATION
Transparency and history are pillars for this example. The car is delivered with an exhaustive documentation folder that includes authenticity certificates validating its origin and specifications. It also includes the original models’ manuals and all documentation necessary for transfer. Provenance since its arrival in Spain is fully guaranteed, confirming that we are dealing with a secure investment and a properly certified collection piece.
PICKUP
The car is located in Madrid, Spain. After the unit is awarded, the seller offers ten days of free storage at their facilities to facilitate transport and pickup logistics by the new owner.
OTHER INFORMATION
Acquiring this Austin-Healey 100M is not just buying a car, but acquiring a piece of Le Mans history. It is an exceptional opportunity for collectors seeking a car ready to enjoy on open roads as well as in Europe’s most demanding regularity rallies. The combination of its original engine, its pristine condition, and its eligibility for the Mille Miglia place it at a superior level within the international classics market.
It runs perfectly and has just been tuned because, although it is rarely used, the collector who owned it has an in-house mechanic who keeps all the cars running and takes short spins to keep them functioning."

Request help with registration from a third-party service provider.Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
