Jaguar MK IX: Een Britse aristocraat met internationale historie.

Wat u hier ziet is geen gewone klassieke Jaguar. Dit is een auto met stijl, inhoud én een verhaal. Een Jaguar MK IX, het absolute topmodel uit 1959. Groot, imposant, elegant en met alles erop en eraan wat Jaguar destijds in huis had.

Carrosserie & Lakwerk:

Deze specifieke MK IX is afgewerkt in Cornish Grey, een stijlvolle tint die prachtig contrasteert met het rode leren interieur. Een kleurcombinatie die perfect past bij de sfeer van de jaren vijftig. Het exterieur ziet er keurig uit. Mooie en correcte lijnen, verzorgde bumpers, de juiste uitstraling. En binnenin is het een feest van authenticiteit en kwaliteit. Niet overgerestaureerd, maar netjes met behoud van originaliteit. 

Interieur:

Binnenin vindt u een prachtig verzorgd interieur met dat karakteristieke klassieke Jaguar gevoel: hout, leer, ruimte en rust.

Technisch:

En die zorg merkt u zodra u instapt en wegrijdt. De 3.8-liter zescilinder loopt stil en soepel, de automatische versnellingsbak schakelt zonder problemen en deze statige Jaguar voelt solide en comfortabel aan. Zoals een Jaguar dat hoort te doen. En dan te bedenken dat u ook nog kunt genieten van airconditioning én een schuifdak. In een auto uit 1959. Bijzonder fijn als u het ons vraagt. 

Algemeen:

Maar het mooiste zit misschien wel in het verhaal achter de auto. Deze Jaguar werd nieuw geleverd in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en ging daarna op reis naar de Verenigde Staten, Arizona om precies te zijn. In 2018 werd de Jaguar teruggehaald naar Europa door een doctor in Duitsland. Daar werd hij niet alleen goed verzorgd, maar in 2020 kreeg de motor ook een volledige revisie. U begrijpt het al: dit is een auto die in handen is geweest van mensen die er echt om gaven.

De MK IX was het sluitstuk van een reeks luxe sedans die begon met de Mark V in 1948. Elk model werd een stukje beter, en met de MK IX had Jaguar het helemaal voor elkaar. Vier schijfremmen, een krachtige motor met 220 pk, een interieur dat zijn gelijke niet kende en een rijgedrag dat voor die tijd écht indrukwekkend was. Geen wonder dat dit model populair was bij liefhebbers die ook een beetje tempo wilden.

Deze MK IX is dus niet alleen een klassieker met uitstraling, maar ook eentje die u gewoon kunt rijden en van kunt genieten. Hij ziet eruit zoals u hoopt, klinkt zoals het hoort en rijdt zoals u wenst.
