Set of 3 Heavy Cast Metal Gaudí Tiles – “Rajola Passeig de Gràcia” – Barcelona – Spain – 20th Century

Description:
Rare set of three cast metal tiles reproducing the iconic hexagonal pavement design by Antoni Gaudí for Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona.

Each tile is heavy and solid, made of metal (possibly bronze or another alloy), and features the characteristic marine-inspired motifs — seaweed, shells, and organic forms — emblematic of Gaudí’s Modernisme style. The tiles together shape a sun-like figure.

The backs of the tiles are engraved with:
“RAJOLA PASSEIG de GRÀCIA – Gaudí – Barcelona”
Each also bears a maker’s mark or signature (see close-up photo), possibly from a licensed foundry or artisan workshop in Catalonia.

These tiles are most likely collectible decorative items, inspired by the original hydraulic cement tiles designed by Gaudí in 1904 (originally for Casa Batlló, later used for the sidewalks of Passeig de Gràcia).

Condition:
Very good vintage condition. Some patina, minor scratches and age-related wear consistent with material and use.
A beautiful and iconic set — perfect for lovers of Gaudí, Art Nouveau, or Spanish design.
