Magnifique Phonographe à Rouleau Edison, original et fabriqué par Thomas Alva Edison aux États Unis en 1903, modèle Gem C, numéro G195223, la caisse est en métal peint noir et doré vissé sur un socle en bois, mécanisme en métal, nom du fabricant et du modèle à l’avant de la caisse, plaque en étain avec numéro de série et les différentes conditions de fabrication rivetée à l’arrière.

Ce modèle « Gem » conçu par Edison est un petit phonographe à pavillon extérieur inclus et moteur à ressort a été commercialisé par la firme Edison dès 1899 pour lutter contre les productions bon marché de ses concurrents, sa diffusion fût mondial.
Il est en très bon état de fonctionnement et permet la lecture des cylindres de 2 minutes en Cire.
Il contient 1 Pavillon et 3 Cylindres de cire (Pathé) offert avec le phonographe + 1 Pavillon offert.

L’ensemble est en très bon état de fonctionnement.

En 1877, l'inventeur américain Thomas Edison dépose le brevet du premier phonographe, dispositif permettant d'enregistrer et de reproduire des sons.
