Description from the seller
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Land Rover Santana 88” Series 3. Registered in 1983. Its first buyer was a viticulturist from Vilafranca del Penedès, who used it exclusively for local trips around his estate. The second owner used it for hunting in the same area. I bought it in 2023 to restore it. It is the fourth unit I have restored as a hobby. It has been thoroughly serviced and all deteriorated components replaced, but without a full dismantling. The vehicle has passed the ITV and is available to be registered as a historic vehicle if it remains in Spain, thus allowing it to drive in low-emission zones.
Bodywork / Paint:
The aluminum alloy bodywork has been fully repaired for some signs of wear by Land Rover experts. It has been painted with three coats in the original color by one of the most reputable classic car painters in Catalonia.
The undersides show no rust or holes, having been repaired and painted with anti-gravel coating. The suspension works perfectly, both the leaf springs and the shock absorbers.
The five tires are new and the rear skirts as well.
Equipped with a hitch ball rated for 750 kg (2WD) / 2040 kg (4WD) with an operational connection plug.
Mechanics
The 2,225 cc diesel engine runs smoothly. The gearbox and clutch have been inspected; the 4x4 and the reducer are working. (3 levers)
When cold, the car starts with the new glow plugs energized for 20 seconds. When hot, it starts on the first try without glow plugs. The injectors and the fuel injection pump have been inspected by ServiDiesel.
The exhaust pipe has been renovated from the headers to the muffler.
The brakes have been renewed, with a new master cylinder, new wheel cylinders, and new shoes.
The steering is manual and works correctly within the vehicle's parameters, as it has a large turning radius.
Interior:
The front and rear seats are new, upholstered in poly-leather with a 3+4 seat configuration. The floor has new carpeting and the door trim is new.
All the windows are functioning, and the roof is in good condition, with its four upper ventilation openings.
The dashboard shows signs of wear, but it is original. All the instruments work, both the front ones (wipers, windshield washer, lights, kill switch, heating, etc.) and the rear ones (wipers, reverse light, and fog light). The glove compartment is in perfect condition. The interior and exterior mirrors are new.
DOCUMENTATION:
It has a technical data sheet certifying the mileage, an ITV certificate, and the registration certificate. It is up to date on road tax and CO2 tax.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The vehicle is in Sabadell, Barcelona. It has 1 set of keys (Clausor, doors and fuel tank.)

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
