Description from the seller
Strömbergshyttan – The Kristallen decanter with a sterling silver mount (.925) – signed, circa 1970
A beautiful piece from the modern Scandinavian glass tradition: this decanter is crafted from pure, clear crystal, paired with a sleek solid sterling silver mount (.925). Signed on the underside, and originating from Strömbergshyttan, the renowned Swedish glass workshop famed in the 20th century for its pure forms and understated elegance.
The design is minimalist yet expressive: a solid crystal body with flowing lines, a precisely cut neck, and a silver detail that completes the piece with a touch of luxury.
Strömbergshyttan was founded in the 1930s and gained international recognition for its glass objects with soft blue-gray hues and clear optical qualities. This decanter comes from the workshop’s modernist phase, in which functionality and aesthetics were in perfect balance.
