Kristallen geslepen parfumflesje met massief zilveren montuur (.835) – circa 1880

Een juweel uit de late 19e eeuw: dit sierlijke parfumflesje, vervaardigd rond 1880, is een schitterend voorbeeld van verfijnde luxe uit de belle époque. Het flesje is gemaakt van helder, met de hand geslepen kristal, waarvan het patroon in het licht fonkelt met een sprankeling die alleen authentiek antiek kristal bezit.

Wat dit object extra bijzonder maakt, is het massief zilveren montuur in .835-zilvergehalte – een legering die typerend was voor continentaal zilver uit die periode. De dop, hals en sierband zijn rijk gedetailleerd, met fijne gravures en een sluiting die nog altijd functioneert. De dop is voorzien van zilvermerk(en).

Parfumflesjes als deze waren in de 19e eeuw niet alleen functioneel, maar ook een vorm van persoonlijke luxe. Ze werden vaak cadeau gedaan, gedragen in tassen of op de kaptafel tentoongesteld als symbool van elegantie en verfijning. De combinatie van kristal en zilver getuigt van ambachtelijke precisie en een oog voor schoonheid in het klein.

Het flesje verkeert in prachtige staat en is volledig origineel. Een charmant object met historische allure – ideaal voor de verzamelaar van antiek zilver, parfumflacons of klein kunstnijverheid van museumkwaliteit.
