Sansui - SANSUI AU - a907i Audio amplifier

For sale is a legend of Japanese high-end audio equipment – the Sansui AU-α907i, the first model in the iconic 'Alpha' series introduced to the market in 1987.
Not just an amplifier, but an example of peak-level audio engineering from the times when Sansui was competing for the leading position with Accuphase, Luxman, and Technics.
The amplifier offers truly audiophile sound, powerful dynamics, a full dual mono construction, and craftsmanship that is rarely seen today.

The AU‑α907i model was Sansui's flagship integrated amplifier for the Japanese market. The version I am selling is the original 100V one — not an export variant or a newer, lighter model from the 1990s.
This is a full-sized beast weighing 28 kg, equipped with a massive toroidal transformer and output transistors 2SA1216 / 2SC2922.

The amplifier comes from my collection and is fully functional – it has undergone a thorough service and is ready to operate without any additional investment.
Technical condition:

100% functional – after professional servicing.

Fixing cold solder joints at critical points.

Cleaning and wiping all selectors, switches, and potentiometers (DeoxIT).

Cleaning of speaker relay contacts

Replacing the thermal paste and pads under the final transistors.

Interior vacuumed, dry, clean electronics.

The phono MM/MC works perfectly – tested with AT and Ortofon cartridges.

Sound without flaws, channels are even, and there are no noises, crackles, or delays when switching.

Visual condition:

The front is very nice – all inscriptions and markings are clear, and the crowns are original.
The case with minimal signs of aging looks very good for a piece over 38 years old.
