Paire ancienne de suspensions murales en fonte – Coqs polychromes – France, début XXe – Rare

Description :

Superbe paire ancienne de suspensions murales en fonte, ornées chacune d’un coq polychrome sculpté, aux couleurs patinées par le temps. Ces pièces décoratives, rares dans cet état, témoignent d’un artisanat populaire rural du début du XXe siècle, probablement d’origine française.

Caractéristiques :

Matériau : fonte pour les bras et socles et coqs.

Motif : coqs stylisés aux couleurs d’époque (jaune, bleu, brun, rouge passé)

État : patine d’origine, traces d’oxydation sur la fonte (voir photos), peinture écaillée par endroits – ensemble stable et authentique


Usage d’origine et histoire :

Ces supports étaient probablement utilisés en façade de maison, d’auberge ou de ferme, pour soutenir une enseigne suspendue ou une petite étagère murale. Le coq, symbole de vigilance et emblème national français, était souvent utilisé dans les campagnes comme motif décoratif ou signal d’activité artisanale (boulangerie, charcuterie, etc.).

Pièce rare et décorative, idéale pour une restauration, une mise en valeur en décoration murale, ou un aménagement rustique. Objet d’art populaire recherché pour son cachet et sa singularité.
