Note; This unique 1965 Omega "Automatic" watch for the North American market. These watches were assembled in North America with US-made cases and imported Swiss-made movements. This particular example features the popular Caliber 550 self-winding movement and a 10-karat gold-plated "Jonell Watch Company" case. The importing company, Norman Morris Watch Co., assembled the watches in North America, allowing Omega to avoid the burdensome tax laws on imported precious metals and Swiss-made watches. The Jonell Watch Co. trademark on the caseback indicates that this watch was sold in the Canadian market.
