Le raffinement est au rendez-vous avec cet objet d'exception : coiffe, visage, traits, le souci esthétique des sculpteurs Baoulé est ici parfaitement illustré.

Portant des masques tels que celui-ci, les Baoulé exécutent un certain nombre de danses pour le divertissement du village; une de ces performances est connue sous le nom de goli.
Il s'agit une célébration d'une journée généralement effectuée lors des funérailles de membres de haut rang et respectés de la communauté.
Des sources indiquent que la danse goli fournit non seulement un divertissement mais également une protection pour le village dans lequel elle est exécutée.
