Boîte en bois vintage avec doublure turquoise contenant un service de couverts en argent

La boîte en bois mesure environ 37 cm de large, 26,5 cm de profondeur et 7 cm de hauteur. Elle présente quelques éraflures dues à l'âge. L'intérieur est recouvert d'un feutre de couleur turquoise avec quelques décolorations à certains endroits. L'étiquette en papier indique "Contenant pour Couverts en Argent Anti-Tarnish". Le service comprend 12 couteaux à beurre, dont la lame est estampillée "Latema" et le manche marqué "Sterling". Les manches sont monogrammés, et l'un d'eux se sépare de la lame. Les couteaux pèsent 32,85 onces troy.

Les autres pièces assorties sont également incluses :

Trois grandes cuillères à servir en argent d'environ 18 cm de long, poinçonnées "Sterling", pesant 4,15 onces troy.

Huit petites cuillères en argent (peut-être pour la soupe) d'environ 13 cm de long, pesant 6,12 onces troy.

12 cuillères en argent sterling de 15 cm de long, pesant 9,3 onces troy.

Huit petites fourchettes en argent de 16 cm de long, pesant 7,8 onces troy.

Neuf belles fourchettes à dîner d'environ 20 cm de long, pesant 16,8 onces troy en argent.

Le poids total du lot de couverts est de 77,02 onces troy d'argent.

Le marquage "Latema" sur un objet en argent ou en métal argenté, en particulier sur la lame d'un couteau, indique le type de lame utilisée dans les motifs de couverts avant 1940 par des fabricants tels que Durgin, Gorham et Whiting.
