GENERAL:

The 1986 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth is one of the most iconic sports cars of the 1980s, originally delivered to the German market and imported into the Czech Republic approximately twelve years ago. It has had a total of three previous owners. Only around 5,500 units of this first generation were built to meet homologation requirements for rallying and circuit racing, making it a rare and highly sought-after collector’s car. The vehicle is registered in the Czech Republic to a private individual, with no VAT deduction possible.

BODYWORK & PAINTWORK:

Around five years ago, the car underwent a complete restoration during which the body was fully stripped, repaired, and repainted. The exterior is currently in excellent condition, showing no scratches or rust. The paintwork has been professionally polished and protected with wax. The car currently rides on non-original 15-inch wheels with a lower offset, though the correct width and tire size have been maintained.

TECHNICAL:

Powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivering 204 horsepower, the RS Cosworth can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in around 6.5 seconds and reach a top speed of approximately 240 km/h. During the restoration, the engine was thoroughly cleaned and resealed, with the turbocharger, fuel system, and wiring overhauled. The clutch was replaced, and the chassis partially refurbished with repainted axles and new components. New shock absorbers, brake discs and pads (front and rear), refurbished calipers, new bushings and mounts, a resealed differential, and new drive shafts were installed. The exhaust system is non-original. Most recently, all fluids and filters were replaced, ignition timing adjusted, new spark plugs installed, and the alignment checked. Mechanically, the car is fully functional and without faults.

INTERIOR:

The interior remains largely original, with a few updated elements. The door panels and rear side trims were reupholstered, and the driver’s seat bolster was repaired. The dashboard is original but has multiple cracks—a common issue with 1980s Fords. The passenger seat has a small tear in the cushion. Despite these minor flaws, the cabin is clean and well preserved. All systems are functioning as they should.

DOCUMENTS:

The car is registered in the Czech Republic to a private individual. No VAT deduction is possible. It comes with a valid technical inspection and documentation of recent servicing and restoration.

The car is located in the Czech Republic and is ready for immediate viewing, sale, and transport.
