Deze kleine beelden werden door de tovenaars gebruikt ter bescherming van individu en gemeenschap. Ze stellen voorouders voor en krijgen een "charge" of lading mee die magische krachten heeft. In dit geval wordt een klein doosje aangebracht geladen met geheime kruiden en verborgen achter een spiegeltje. Een beentje van een dier moet bijkomende krachten aanbrengen. Ook de kruin vanhet hoofd zit zwaar onder magische pasta waaronder nog een kaurischelp zichtbaar is. In de rugzijde is een opening om kruiden en magische substantie aan te brengen.
