S.I.M.E.R.A.C. sta per Società Industriale Materiale Elettrico Rag. Antonio Cotechini, azienda italiana attiva a Ferrara e successivamente a Milano nei primi decenni del Novecento.
Già negli anni 1913–1914, Simerac produceva macchine da caffè elettriche come la "Express Ideal", prive di valvola di sicurezza — un dettaglio che conferma la loro antichità.
Il modello "prima serie", sempre anni ’20–’30, era realizzato in ottone nichelato, bachelite e ottone, con resistenza elettrica che avvolgeva la caldaia ed un filtro distanziato dal corpo macchina, per evitare il surriscaldamento del caffè.
Nella “quarta serie” (anni ’30–’40), la produzione si era spostata verso Milano, e la raffinata meccanica permetteva di erogare 2 o 4 tazze regolando le manopole laterali.
Una stima più precisa, per una “terza serie”, indica il 1932 come anno di produzione, confermandone il design in ottone nichelato, l’alimentazione elettrica e la presenza della valvola di sicurezza nella parte superiore.
Questa macchina da caffè è una Simerac, essa risale agli anni Trenta, in particolare 1932 è una data rilevante per le serie più evolute. Questi esemplari sono oggi pezzi da collezione davvero rari e affascinanti. Apparato non testato.
