This is a rare 1000 Deutsche Mark banknote issued by the Deutsche Bundesbank in 1991, part of the last series of German Marks before the introduction of the Euro.

The obverse features portraits of the Brothers Grimm (Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm), renowned German linguists and folklorists. The reverse shows the Grimm Brothers’ house in Hanau and a scene from one of their fairy tales.

This banknote represents the highest denomination of the series and is highly sought after by collectors due to its historical and cultural value.
