Attention, pièce historique ! 
En 1978, Edgar Pierre Jacobs se lance dans la maquette de son autobiographie « Un opéra de papier » (Gallimard) avec la complicité d’ Eugène van Nijverseel alias Evany. La maquette se compose de deux classeurs. Le premier (proposé ici) s’arrête aux années « Bravo » tandis que le deuxième relate les années Blake & Mortimer. Dans son testament, Jacobs lègue à Evany les deux maquettes. Les héritiers de celui-ci vendront les deux classeurs après sa mort. Cette pièce muséale exceptionnelle est donc une des seule pièce légale de Jacobs sur le marché ! Outre l’aspect historique, cette maquette présente 70 esquisses et dessins originaux du Maître de l’École de Bruxelles !
À noter que les Amis de Jacobs ont publié en 2013 « Esquisses & dessins », album reprenant l’intégralité de cette maquette.
