Great Antique japanese katana signed Shimitsu Tadatsugu mounted on a high quality koshirae mounting. Blade is overall in very good condition. Please see the close-up pictures for amazing details. Beautiful Edo openwork and gold inlay tsuba fuchi and kashira pair. The saya has is in great condition. Take a special apraisal to this very clear and suberb Hammon and perfect profesional polish on it. You can see perfectly the tamahagane steel, hada grains and forging patterns, the tamahagane waves from folded steel are clearly visibles. Blade is in very good condition due to aging. Not nicks, not kizu, not hagire and not fatal damage, of course. It can be superficial scratches and little stains or marks of the samurais battles proper of this history that even add more historical value to the piece. Please see the pictures.
