Storia: il 19 maggio 1913 apre la prima bottega di cicli e piccola ferramenta in Borgo Berga. Si narra che il nome Berga attribuito alla ditta, poi registrato attorno al 1924/1925, derivi dalla passione del fondatore Giovanni per la lirica: usò il nome del teatro romano di Vicenza, appunto il Teatro Berga. Altra ipotesi è quella che il Borgo Berga, zona dove venivano costruiti i telai, le desse il nome. Il toponimo Berga deriva dall’arcaico Berg, che in tedesco vuol dire montagna e denomina la zona della città pedemontana a ridosso di Monte Berico, sacro per il suo santuario dedicato alla Madonna.
