Herkimer-Diamanten sind doppelendige Quarzkristalle, die in freiliegenden Dolomitaufschlüssen in und um Herkimer County, New York, und im Mohawk River Valley in den USA entdeckt wurden.
Es handelt sich nicht um Diamanten; der Name „Diamant“ verdankt sich ihrer Reinheit und den wohlgeformten Flächen. 
Da die ersten Fundstellen im Dorf Middleville bzw. in der Stadt Little Falls lagen, wird der Kristall auch als Middleville-Diamant oder Little Falls-Diamant bezeichnet.

Herkimer-Diamanten erlangten große Bekanntheit, nachdem Arbeiter sie im späten 18. Jahrhundert beim Abbau des Dolomits im Mohawk River Valley in großen Mengen entdeckten. 
Geologen entdeckten in den Aufschlüssen von Herkimer County freiliegenden Dolomit und begannen dort mit dem Abbau, was zu der Bezeichnung „Herkimer-Diamant“ führte.
 Doppelendige Quarzkristalle sind weltweit zu finden.
