Malpuesto is a red wine produced by Bodegas Orben in the La Rioja D.O., at the foot of the Sierra Cantabria mountains. Bodegas Orben belongs to Artevino Family Wineries, the group that owns other well-known wineries such as Villacreces in Ribera del Duero and Vetus in the Toro D.O.

Malpuesto is a single-varietal Tempranillo wine from the Malpuesto estate, planted in 1931 and currently one of the oldest vineyards in La Rioja Alavesa. Its name, Malpuesto, comes from the irregular arrangement in which the vines were planted.
The estate is located on a hillside and covers an area of ​​1.2 hectares. The soil is sandy and poor, yielding low but high-quality grapes.
The grapes are harvested manually in small 15-kg boxes. Once at the winery, they undergo strict selection before being vatted. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, followed by a very gentle pressing before aging in barrels for approximately 15 months.
Malpuesto is a unique, characterful red wine from La Rioja, sourced from a very special old vineyard, with a limited production of just over 5,000 bottles.
