Nikè van Samothrake
The Nike of Samothrace is a Hellenistic marble statue representing the goddess of victory Nike.
The sculptor is not known with certainty. The style is that of the School of Rhodes and it is believed that the statue was made by the sculptor Pythokritos. This sculptor was around 200 BC. effective.

The sculpture has been on display in the Louvre in Paris since 1884. It is one of the most famous statues of classical antiquity and one of the few that has survived in original Greek form.
