Muga Crianza wine is, despite its name, a wine aged in the category of a Reserva. We recognize in it the style of the house, known to everyone, and with each bottle, nothing surprises and everything pleases.

The grapes used to make red wine are mainly Tempranillo and Garnacha, and come from clay-limestone terraces; They are fermented with indigenous yeasts and separately, in the iconic oak foudres of Bodegas Muga, and then aged in barrels from Muga's own cooperage for 24 months; one year in new wood and the next in used barrels. As tradition dictates, the red wine is clarified with egg white before being put into bottles to continue refining for a year before its appearance on the market.

We open the bottle and find a rich cherry-colored wine, loaded with aromas of plums, cocoa and scrub, as well as smoky and vanilla reminiscences that remind us of wood. In the mouth Muga Crianza is an elegant and very balanced wine, always with a flash of acidity that leads it agilely through the mouth. Its touch is fleshy and earthy, and the wine moves decisively across the palate, distributing mineral memories, sweet and ripe tannins, classicism and breadth. Its long and spicy finish reminds us that we are facing a reference red wine that, despite its price, offers enormous pleasure vintage after vintage.
