Sitzendorf Porcelain Dog – German Shepherd, c. 1940
Dimensions: 18 × 14 × 10 cm

A finely crafted porcelain figure of a seated German Shepherd dog, made by the Sitzendorf Porcelain Manufactory in Germany around 1940. The piece is hand-painted with glossy overglaze in naturalistic brown and ochre tones, capturing the alert yet calm character of the breed.

The underside bears an impressed model number and typical Sitzendorf markings. The glaze shows age-related craquelure, consistent with its period. No visible cracks or restorations.

This is a charming example of Sitzendorf’s animal figures from the mid-20th century, valued for their lifelike detail and collectible quality.
