Koshoku” is a collection of Araki's work published in 2008 by Rat Hole Gallery (operated by the collection brand ‘Hysteric Glamour’), which exhibits and publishes works by quality photographers from Japan and abroad, including Nobuyoshi Araki, Takuma Nakahira, Daido Moriyama, and Seiryu Inoue. The two books were published together with “Koshoku Painting” and this book, both of which were painted at the exhibition held at the same gallery. Like the hysterical series “Ryuseki” from the 1990s, this book is a large-format, heavy-weight, and powerful book with a magazine binding.
