Rara e singolare collezione di HEAD VASES.
Composta da 19 vasi diversi e un portagioie.

Gli Head Vases sono vasi decorativi a forma di testa, spesso femminile, che hanno conosciuto grande popolarità a partire dagli anni '40 e '50 del Novecento. Nati negli Stati Uniti ma poi diffusi in tutto il resto con particolare successo in Giappone ed Inghilterra, questi oggetti combinano funzionalità ed estetica, venendo utilizzati sia come vasi per fiori che come elementi decorativi. Le versioni più iconiche raffigurano donne eleganti con acconciature elaborate, ciglia marcate e dettagli raffinati, talvolta ispirate a celebrità o figure della moda.

La loro diffusione si concentra principalmente in America, dove venivano spesso regalati con composizioni floreali dai fioristi. Prodotti da aziende come Napco, Enesco e Relpo, gli Head Vases sono oggi oggetti da collezione molto ricercati, apprezzati per il loro fascino rétro e la varietà di stili ed utilizzati anche come accessori per riporre pennelli per il trucco e simili.

La collezione che qui si propone è composta da 20 oggetti tra loro diversi. Nello specifico si contano 19 Head Vases raffiguranti volti femminili la cui altezza varia da un minimo di 7 cm. fino ad un massimo di circa 20 cm.; completa il lotto un portagioie di forma sferica sulla cui sommità è raffigurata una giovane fanciulla in abito blu e bianco.
