Condition: very good, with some handling marks, as is usual when they were included in the original portfolio boxes.

Edition approx. 2000 copies, many of them lost (according to experts, probably between 800 and 1000).

"Flying" framing, in a deep frame. With fixed glass. A pink metallic cardboard has been used as a background-support in the mounting. Without adhesives. Size: 31,5 x 22,5 cm.

The 'SMS' portfolios (inspired by Marcel Duchamp's famous Boîte-en-valise and, in general, by the irreverence of the DADA movement and the multiples of the FLUXUS movement) represented a reaction against the elitism of the art world by making available, by regular subscription, pieces by artists who are now considered among the most relevant of the 20th century (Richard Hamilton, Roy Lichstenstein, Joseph Kosuth, Meret Oppenheim, Man Ray, John Cage, Bernar Venet, Mel Ramos, Walter de Maria, Christo Javacheff, Dieter Roth, Claes Oldenburg...). The Shit Must Stop deliveries barely lasted 1 year due to the rising costs of publishing and distributing the works.
