Klaus Prior (born 1945 in Wesel) is a Swiss sculptor, painter, and draftsman. He studied painting at the School of Arts and Crafts in St. Gallen starting in 1967 and has lived and worked in Ticino since the 1970s. The human figure is at the center of his artistic work. In addition to painting, he dedicated himself intensively to wood sculpture as well as bronze and iron sculptures. His works have been exhibited in numerous shows across several European countries.
