Juego de té y café en plata de ley (Londres, 1823/24), obra del maestro John Angell I

Excepcional juego de té y café realizado en plata de ley (Sterling .925), compuesto por cafetera, tetera, azucarera y jarrita para leche. 

 Las piezas presentan un trabajo de gran riqueza ornamental con relieves repujados y cincelados de putti, figuras mitológicas y motivos florales, dentro del gusto Regency con influencias Rococó Revival. 

 Los mangos son de marfil tallado original de la época.
	•	Contrastes: cabeza de león (Sterling), leopardo coronado (Londres), busto de Jorge IV, fecha “i” (1823/24) y marca de maestro “J·A” = John Angell I.
	 Cafetera y tetera de gran tamaño, azucarera y jarrita proporcionadas (dimensiones detalladas a solicit
	•	Estado: muy buen estado general, con leves desgastes y pequeñas marcas de uso propias del tiempo. La estructura y los mangos se conservan sólidos y estables.

Valor artístico e histórico

John Angell I (1783–1850) fue un maestro platero londinense, registrado en 1811, célebre por sus juegos de té, trofeos y piezas de orfebrería de lujo. Sus trabajos, anteriores a la firma “John Angell & Son”, son hoy en día raros y muy buscados por coleccionistas internacionales.

Un conjunto de altísima calidad, representativo de la mejor platería inglesa del período Regency tardío, ideal tanto por su valor artístico como histórico.
